Project Management

Denver Technology employs a number of project management experts, with the skills and experience required to ensure the successful management of infrastructure based projects.

In our commitment to quality, our processes and procedures are based on the PRINCE2 framework for Project Management. This includes a formal authorisation/approval process, and facilities for documenting, reporting and controlling the scope, cost and duration of a project. In addition, proper and frequent communication, both between the project team members and with the client is deemed to be critical to the success of a project.

Desktop Support

Desktop Support is another of the core infrastructure support services provided by Denver Technology.

The experience and expertise required to maintain the required level of support has increased significantly over the years. This is due primarily the increased sophistication of the operating systems and application suites, the wide-spread adoption of mobile computing devices, and the significantly increased knowledge and demands of the users who are continually attempting more difficult and complex tasks.

Help Desk is a fundamental service provided by Denver Technology.

Denver Technology’s help desk personnel can provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support to customers requiring these services.

Denver Technology is accustomed to working under Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and our staff are disciplined in call management practices. Additionally, Denver Technology’s call management methodology ensures that efficiencies are realised by the customer, thereby adding true business-based value.

Typical services provided include (but are not limited to):

  • First level service answering “how to” questions, logging all calls for statistical reporting and further follow up if required
  • Second level service providing technical expertise to resolve customer’s problems
  • Third level services, including establishing IT standards and vendor agreements

Application Development

Denver Technology has extensive experience in application development. A few recent examples are:

  • Creating a portfolio management tool that integrates with the asset management system, finance system and project scheduling tools.
  • Creating a system for reporting on incident trending.
  • Showing the live status of works progress, scrolling on a large screen.

  • Implementing the toolset to compare two sets off data using process control methods for analysis

No product on the market today comes equipped with every report needed by end users. Almost all of our customers require something above and beyond the canned reports that come OTB. The reports required may extend beyond the skill set of the business user and Denver Technology’s expertise is requested. Denver Technology provides reports to their customers via tools such as QBR, BIRT, SAP Crystal Reports, Hyperion SQR Production Reporting, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Excel, Power Query and Power BI. Denver Technology will identify the most effective ways to retrieve meaningful data from your systems on a case-by-case basis.
